Sound Division shapes up at the Venue
Audio-visual contracting and
entertainment service specialists Sound Division
recently installed a total of nine
high-resolution Fujitsu plasma screens into
Beaumont's Health Club in the Venue, an £18M
fitness and leisure complex in Borehamwood,
Herts.
The Venue, which opened in
October 2000, is one of the new breed of fitness
and leisure complexes which offers a vast range
of services under one roof. On the fitness side
customers may avail themselves of an 8-lane 25m
swimming pool plus a separate teaching pool and
toddlers pool, two dance studios, a 125-station
fitness facility, a spinning studio and a health
suite. The Venue also has a number of treatment
rooms, sunbeds, a crèche, a soft play area for
children plus a cafeteria and a 300-seater
spectator area around the pool for galas and
other events.
All nine screens supplied
and installed by Sound Division have gone into
the fitness suite to replace the original
screens that had come to the end of their
natural life. As The Venue's fitness, sales
& marketing manager, Iain Buchanan
explained, "Each screen had been on for
something over 30,000 hours, so they owed us
nothing. It was definitely time to replace
them! Sound Division did a great job for us at
every stage of the process. We were kept
informed and updated without having to ask; the
installation itself went extremely smoothly with
no disruption to the centre whatsoever, and the
level of after-sales service has been excellent,
staying in touch to check that there were no
teething problems (which there weren't). All in
all, a very personal and efficient service. I
would not hesitate to use Sound Division again,
nor to recommend them to other leisure
operators."
