Sound Division descends into Iniquity
Audio-visual contracting and entertainment
service specialists Sound Division have
recently installed a sophisticated AV system
into the brand new bar and restaurant,
Iniquity. Owned and run by Rising Star
Leisure, Iniquity opened its doors for the
first time in London's trendy Northcote Rd,
Battersea, on 8th April.
According to Rising Star Leisure Chief
Executive, Steve Kelly, the brief was to
"implement a high quality and resilient
audio-visual system, based on best-of-breed
technology, to provide great sound quality from
a variety of input sources, including CD,
Hard Disk, MP3, DVD, and DJ." To this end,
Sound Division's David Graham specified a
Crown-driven JBL system that is split into two
zones with the ability to control both zones
from each area. The bar area is served by JBL
Control 28 loudspeakers while David opted for
Control 25AVs for the lounge with system
control courtesy of a Cloud CX242 dual zone
mixer. In addition to the audio system, Sound
Division has also installed a sophisticated AV
system comprising a 42" Fujitsu plasma screen
in the lounge, a Harman Kardon high-resolution
DVD player plus a Mitsubishi XD300 projector
and electric drop-down screen in the bar area.
The main music source comes courtesy of a Rolec
music management system, Sound Division's
preferred choice, and a secondary Pioneer multi
CD player.
Steve Kelly is extremely pleased with the
results. "I chose Sound Division based on
their track record of having delivered similar
solutions to many other established leisure
operators. As this is my first venture, I
wanted a safe pair of hands, someone whom I
could trust. Sound Division have delivered a
flexible, cost-effective system which delivers
a really quality audio visual experience to my
customers. Furthermore they delivered the
system on time, to budget and helped us to
design a system that matched the needs of our
customers. I would not hesitate recommend
Sound Division to other operators and would be
happy to be a reference for them."
Sound Division's David Graham was equally
pleased. "It has been a real pleasure dealing
with Steve," he commented. "He knew exactly
what type of system he wanted and was happy to
allocate a realistic budget to accommodate
this, which is refreshing in our industry. We
are proud to have completed this installation
for Steve and look forward to working with him
again on any projects he may have in the
future."
